Assess foundry processes and quality control, identify improvements, review manufacturing with Excel, and communicate findings to clients with reports.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess a foundry process and identify areas of improvement
- Asses the Quality control lab to review testing procedures
- Follow an Excel tool to review manufacturing processes of a machined part, and complete all items within the checklist with detail
- Write a report to communicate findings back to the client using the Excel checklist for inputs, including executive summary
- Review report and findings in detail in a meeting with client
- If required, provide technical input to SQA developed CAPA based on findings from assessment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical, materials science, mechanical or industrial engineering and 3+ years of experience or 15 years of experience in Foundry or mill operations
- Knowledge of codes, standards and best engineering practices as applied to mining and milling applications
- Strong problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Effective analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of how to determine material configuration and inputs for a foundry process
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SPC and Lean Six Sigma is a plus, specifically Kaizen and process improvement
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and tools for foundry processes
- Experience in corrective actions and preventative actions development and review
