As a QA Engineer, you'll create test plans, conduct manual and automated testing, track defects, and collaborate with teams for quality assurance.
Bolder Apps is a high-end development studio specializing in meticulous mobile and software engineering, with purposeful AI integration. We partner with clients on complex, high-stakes builds, delivering impactful solutions rather than high-volume agency work.
As a QA Engineer at Bolder Apps, you’ll own quality across mobile and web projects, partnering closely with developers and product managers to define test strategy, validate features, and prevent regressions. - Execute manual testing (functional, exploratory, regression) and create robust automated test suites for critical flows.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test health and flakiness.
- Triage, document, and drive resolution of defects; communicate risk and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Improve QA processes: test coverage, automation practices, test data management, release gates, and CI reliability.
- Contribute to cross-functional quality initiatives (performance, security, accessibility) and evangelize quality best practices.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with US-based stakeholders and participate in sprint ceremonies as needed.

Preferred qualifications
- Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android) and related automation (Appium, AndroidX, XCTest).
- Experience with modern web automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Vitest, Jest).
- Exposure to performance, load, or basic security testing.
- Experience with test management tools and issue trackers (Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools used in post-release validation.
