Owner of QA for assigned maintenance projects across mobile (iOS/Android) and occasional web flows. Create and maintain test cases, perform functional/regression/exploratory/UAT, log and track defects, and coordinate weekly with PM to prioritize work and report status and blockers.
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a long-term engagement focused on maintenance across a portfolio of 20 projects. Not all of them are active at any given time — the number of active projects varies by cycle depending on scope and demand. The projects span multiple domains — including finance, e-commerce, healthcare, and third-party integrations — each with its own scope, cadence, and team. Allocations vary across projects, and priorities are managed on a weekly basis in close coordination with a dedicated PM.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Create, audit, and update test cases and QA documentation.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
- Cover iOS and Android mobile apps as the primary testing surface, with web flows tested as needed.
- Take full ownership of QA on assigned maintenance projects, operating as the sole QA on each pod.
- Adapt quickly to different project contexts, domains, and cadences across a rotating weekly workload.
- Sync with the PM daily to align on priorities and report status, blockers, and coverage.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of QA engineering experience.
- Strong experience with mobile application testing (iOS and Android); web testing experience is a plus.
- Experience as a sole QA on a project, with the ability to work independently and take full ownership of quality.
- Experience creating and maintaining test cases and test plans.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, QA processes, and defect lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Postman and/or Newman for API testing.
- Experience using traffic inspection tools such as Charles or Proxyman.
- Familiarity with BrowserStack for cross-device testing.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) as part of the daily workflow.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly report status, blockers, and test coverage to a PM and development team on a weekly cadence.
- English level B2 or higher.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with a test management tool such as QA Sphere, Testiny, Zephyr, or similar.
- Experience working across domains such as finance, e-commerce, healthcare, or third-party integrations.
- Experience with booking, rental, e-commerce, or payment-related products.
- Familiarity with Git.
- Familiarity with AI tools like Cursor, Copilot, or similar tools in QA work.
