Job DescriptionTHE PROGRAM
We're looking for students to join our Co-Op Program who believe that sound is power. Over the 6-month co-op, you will get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned in the classroom with hands-on work experience. Our Co-Ops will get to network across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll connect with other Co-Ops and colleagues to grow your network for the future!
Timeframe - Spring Co-op- Must be available January 12- June 26, 2026 and able to work in a hybrid work environment.
THE ROLE
The Embedded Software Co-Op will function as a fully embedded member of the Soundbar and Wi-Fi Speakers Quality Assurance team. They will participate in the same day-to-day activities as our engineers, gaining exposure to the full QA lifecycle. With mentorship and guidance from senior QA Engineers, Developers, Product Owners, Program Managers and User Experience Designers, this position provides practical experience in quality engineering for complex audio products while contributing meaningful results to the team.
Responsibilities:
Write, review, and execute test cases across multiple products and feature areas
Support test strategy development for upcoming features and releases
Document and improve QA processes, with an emphasis on clarity and repeatability
Contribute to tooling and infrastructure used for test execution and reporting
Participate in team scrum ceremonies and align work with sprint goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, systems, and certification partners
Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Strong interest in QA Engineering, embedded systems, and consumer electronics
Basic understanding of scripting/programming (Python preferred) is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
