QA Automation Engineer (Contract, 1099): ~10–20 hours per week
Third and Grove is seeking a QA Automation Engineer passionate about delivering high-quality websites across multiple CMS platforms. This role combines hands-on automation with CMS-specific validation. The QA Automation Engineer acts as the technical QA lead, building scalable test frameworks, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and validating functionality across browsers and devices.
As a QA Automation Engineer at Third and Grove, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests with Playwright
- Write, document, and maintain TestRail test cases for manual + automated suites
- Validate CMS websites (Drupal, WordPress) for front-end and authoring functionality
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps)
- Perform manual and exploratory testing as needed for new features
- Log, track, and validate bugs in Jira
- Provide detailed test reporting to project teams
You might be who we’re looking for if:
- You have proven Playwright experience and strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
- You’re proficient with TestRail or similar test management tools
- You’ve tested CMS platforms (Drupal, WordPress; Sitecore, Contentful or AEM a plus)
- You understand functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing
- You’ve worked in Agile workflows and can collaborate in multi-discipline teams
- You’re detail-oriented, analytical, and able to flag risks early
- You have experience with accessibility testing and cross-browser/device validation
