ComboCurve is a industry leading cloud-based software solution for A&D, reservoir management, and forecasting in the energy sector. Our platform empowers professionals to evaluate assets, optimize workflows, and manage reserves efficiently, all in one integrated environment.
By streamlining data integration and enhancing collaboration, we help operators, engineers, and financial teams make informed decisions faster. Trusted by top energy companies, ComboCurve delivers real-time analytics and exceptional user support, with a world-class customer experience team that responds to inquiries in under 5 minutes.

We’re looking for a QA Analyst to support product quality as we ship new features. You'll work closely with engineers and product managers to validate workflows, test new releases, and help ensure our customers can trust ComboCurve's outputs.

We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in QA and a willingness to grow into automation. You don't need to be an automation expert, but comfort picking it up on the job is important since it will be a core part of the role. Prior experience with reservoir engineering platforms like ComboCurve, ARIES, or PHDWin is a plus.

This is a great fit for someone a few years into their QA career who's ready to take on new challenges in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Test new features and bug fixes across core web app workflows and dashboards.
  • Follow and improve regression test checklists during release cycles.
  • Help write clear test cases and lightweight documentation for recurring QA processes.
  • Log bugs with strong reproduction steps, screenshots, and “expected vs. actual” notes.
  • Partner with engineers to understand features and identify edge cases early.
  • Validate data accuracy and UI behavior in key analytical outputs.
  • Learn basic testing and automation tools over time (if/when needed).
  • Support incident follow-ups by re-testing fixes and helping prevent regressions.

Requirements

  • Experience with QA concepts, test case writing, or structured troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to methodically work through test steps.
  • Comfort learning new tools and navigating modern web applications.
  • Clear written communication, especially for documenting steps and reporting issues.

Nice to Have / Pluses

  • Some knowledge or experience with ComboCurve.
  • Familiarity with reservoir engineering tools such as ARIES and/or PHDWin
  • Experience in QA automation

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
