We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to strategically execute media relations, executive communications, and complex technical and digital storytelling programs for innovative companies like Waabi, Prelude Ventures and OnRunning. Senior Account Executives are confident in their ability to do the work and are learning how to lead clients. They teach new, junior teammates the fundamentals of public relations, integrated communications and digital storytelling and share their knowledge and ideas across teams.

Senior Account Executives are active participants on four accounts responsible for owning and overseeing large pieces of integrated communications programs. At times, they also oversee the day-to-day operations of smaller account teams.

  • Media relations proficiency, including a proven track record of high-impact placements and sophisticated, proactive storytelling
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, compelling narratives
  • Proven ability to project manage full account teams or large-scale integrated communications projects, and appropriately delegate tasks
  • Ability to integrate earned media efforts with digital marketing campaigns, ideally with a foundational understanding of SEO and content distribution
  • Experience developing and executing organic and paid social media strategies across platforms in a plus
  • Ability to share knowledge and teach teammates how to execute program activities at an individual level
  • Experience acting as a primary point of contact for clients
  • Direct, transparent, inclusive interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative, consistent approach to work and team
  • Track-record of reliable, high-quality work in fast-paced environments

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
