The Role
Veeva is looking for an experienced Proposal Manager to drive winning responses for our innovative life sciences solutions! You’ll lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, collaborating with top experts to craft compelling narratives and responses to questionnaires that resonate with North American and European customers. What You'll Do
- Lead the Proposal Lifecycle: Project manage all RFx activities from initial receipt through final submission, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables
- Orchestrate Response Teams: Effectively coordinate contributions from cross-functional teams (Sales, Solution Consulting, Professional Services, Product, Strategy, IT Security, etc.) to develop winning responses
- Develop Response Strategies: Lead response team alignment calls and discussions to define scope, understand customer needs, identify key differentiators, and guide the team on assignments and timelines
- Craft Compelling Content: Transform complex information into persuasive written content, clearly articulating Veeva's value proposition and differentiation
- Drive Efficiency and Quality: Draft response deliverables, manage project workflows, and conduct thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the content management team to maintain the accuracy of proposal templates and the answer library
- Manage Multiple Priorities: Effectively handle a workload that includes multiple proposal assignments and other projects, consistently meeting deadlines
- Ensure Professional Presentation: Format, proofread, and edit all proposal deliverables for accuracy, clarity, and a polished appearance
Requirements
- Proven Proposal Management Expertise: 4+ years of experience managing complex proposals within a dynamic B2B environment. Experience in life sciences and/or SaaS technology and services is a significant plus
- Demonstrated Project Management Skills: Driven by deadlines with a sense of urgency. Proven ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with tight deadlines
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Global Collaboration & Time Zone Adaptability: Flexibility to support a global customer base and response team, including core U.S. Eastern Time working hours (9 am - 5 pm ET) and the ability to work irregular or extended hours across time zones as needed
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication abilities, with a knack for transforming technical details into compelling narratives
- Leadership Mentality: Self-motivated and proactive, with a natural inclination to take ownership and drive results within a team setting
- Team-Oriented Approach: A collaborative spirit and positive attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and together with a high-performing team
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to accuracy with expert formatting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including advanced use of Word styles. Experience with RFP response tools (e.g., Loopio, Responsive, etc.) is preferred

Compensation
- Base pay: $75,000 - $115,000
- The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
