OVERVIEW

With oversight from the Proposal Manager, the Proposal Developer will support the Business Development Operations team in creating and updating Proposals, Requests for Information (RFI), PowerPoint presentations, client-facing documents, and other sales documentation as needed.


KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and analysis of client RFIs, RFPs, questionnaires, protocols, and other project-related documents, including client on-line portals (e.g., Ariba), to assess overall and specific deliverables
  • Draft proposals and responses to customer RFIs and questionnaires for review and finalization by Senior Proposal Manager, Business Development Directors, Functional Leads, and Executive Management
  • Prepare final proposal documents including, but not limited to, saving in Adobe format, and performing final quality control checks
  • Develop, update, and maintain proposal templates, content library, Loopio RFI response database, team biographies, and other business development documents and reference materials based on updates to elluminate functionality and biometrics process updates
  • Develop working knowledge of company’s elluminate and biometrics services, in order to draft answers to customer questionnaires for SME approval
  • Lead the strategic utilization of Loopio RFI software with regards to maximizing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the Proposals group use of Loopio, including but not limited to the Loopio Library, Projects, and Magic functionality, to respond to customer questionnaires, surveys, RFIs, and RFPs
  • Provide ad hoc sales and business development support as needed
  • Participate in creating, maintaining, and periodically refining the proposal process
  • File all proposal-related documentation on company file storage system (e.g., SharePoint)
  • Other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE’S PROFILE


Education & Experience

  • Experience in sales, marketing, and/or proposal development
  • 5+ years CRO/Pharmaceutical field preferred
  • Knowledge of the drug development process preferred
  • Loopio RFP software preferred

Professional Skills

  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities and adapt to changing demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Personal interaction skills to develop productive relationships within Business Development and elluminate and biometrics subject matter experts (e.g., elluminate Solution Consultants and Product Managers, Data Managers)
  • Ability to learn quickly and demonstrate compliance with operational process standards
  • Highly detail oriented and self-motivated

Technical Skills

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in RFI/RFP software, such as Loopio
  • Ability to interpret RFIs/RFPs and internal budget documents (e.g., scoping workbooks)
  • Strong writing skills
