Technology Project Manager

The role of Technology Project Manager is a key driver of the success of technology development projects within Indigo. This individual is responsible for building a team, creating a plan, driving the execution of that plan, and clearly communicating progress of the projects they manage. This role requires a combination of demonstrated experience in managing applicable technology projects along with the aptitude, attitude, and energy to drive forward progress in an environment with many competing priorities. This position will report to the head of Technology Program Management and will work closely with people from virtually every part of the Indigo organization.

Outcomes & Responsibilities:

  • Establish rapport with key stakeholders across relevant functions including:
    • Finance
    • IT
    • Supply Chain
    • Legal
    • Product Management
  • Take over project management responsibilities for Order to Cash projects across Production Model, Marketplace, and Indigo Trucking
    • Create and maintain project plan
    • Establish consistent and effective project communications with project stakeholders
    • Drive day-to-day project execution through a cross-functional group of project team members and stakeholders
  • Build plan for settlements platform project to support production model 2.1 for US
    • Build plan for Order to Cash technology solutions for International
    • Determine scope and definition of requirements for MP settlements based on Indigo Certified Crop Offer
  • Assigned projects are independently managed and seamlessly integrated into overall Technology roadmap when appropriate
  • Take on responsibility for maintaining project status dashboard items related to IT projects
  • Contribute to the Indigo Technology program management methodology / toolkit for IT-focused projects
    • Project plan templates
    • Communication plans / templates
    • Recommended tools for tracking and managing projects and tasks
  • Collaborate with Technology leadership to create a project plan for delivering the end state Order-to-Cash technology solution for our current product suite
  • Take on responsibility for managing one or more Technology projects outside of the Order-to-Cash area

  • Understands the handoff between technology project management and other resources and stakeholders within a project (i.e., knows when to take on a task vs. when to assign to someone else on the team)
  • Able to identify and manage complex interdependencies between tasks
  • Able to influence team members and stakeholders without direct management authority


  • 5-7 years of experience in technology project management or other relevant technology experience (e.g. business analysis, development, engineering)
  • Well-rounded experience across different technologies (Cloud technologies, Custom web / app development, ERP systems, CRM systems, financial systems, LIMS, etc.)
  • Experience in projects that deliver technology systems to drive operational efficiencies a plus
  • Experience managing projects that combine tech and business process workstreams required
  • Experience managing agile software development projects
  • Experience capturing and developing use cases, requirements, and UAT processes for technology systems (Cloud technologies, Custom web / app development, ERP systems, CRM systems, LIMS, etc.)
  • Scrum master certification or PMP certification nice to have
  • Ag or food production industry experience a plus
