Technical Project Manager
Due to Covid–19 we are working 100% remotely, this includes the hiring process. When it is safe to do so, we will return to a hybrid of onsite and remote work for some positions.

They understand what should and shouldn’t be measured, can articulate why and what capabilities drive true cultural and technical transformations. They should be able to dive deep into the four metrics that define high performing technology organizations and the capabilities that drive them. The best of candidates can discuss architecture, tradeoffs and collaborate with the most knowledgeable of minds in evaluating high value investments to drive the organizational goals of the future.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Network within the company is expanding
- Identify the various organizational roles associated with delivering customer satisfying products
- Managing your very first project and diving deep into the tempo and improvements of the project
- Fully engaged in project details and able to move a project forward
In 6 months
- Contribute and make process changes that focus on outcomes and limit inefficiencies
- Build an extensive network within the company and understand who the influencers, movers and shakers are
- Audit process changes to check if the expected outcomes have been delivered
In 12 months
- Lead process creation and abolishment activities
- Lead discussions with large engineering groups on DevOps philosophies and process improvements
- Design process adherence checks that are effective and build on better business outcomes
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing the required hands-on software development lifecycle and project management, cross-functional coordination, activity tracking and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes
- Managing project schedules, identifying possible issues and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders
- Creating assignments/roles/RACI for a project
- Determining and defining clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
- Owning project reporting and standard operating procedures for project creation, monitoring and tracking
- Working closely with software engineers, QA, product managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test and release on time)
- Identifying and managing project risks and facilitate cross-functional discussion to plan risk mitigation
- Providing resources, tools and coaching to help promote process adherence
- Ensuring engineering teams’ goals are aligned with proper prioritization of business or departmental goals
- Coordinating timelines, risks and expectations with vendors, consultants and our external partners
- Establishing and implementing training processes and strategies for all technical personnel
- Working with Product Strategy Leads and Technical Architects to develop a broad understanding of Portfolio Outcomes, Technology Vision and Goals for the Portfolio
- Working directly with Product Strategy Leads to identify and determine sequencing to minimize blocking
- Supporting development lifecycle by tracking and reporting on product delivery performance metrics for the teams working in the Product Portfolio
- Supporting Quality Team Members / Release Team Members in coordinating quality testing plans and environment readiness plans as they evolve.
- A good eye for process improvement, introduction, abolishment, and standardization
What You'll Bring
- Experience working with teams within the agile process
- Worked as a manager, developer, or product role within the software development process
- Ability to collaborate and create process systems that work just-in-time for the agile teams
- A keen ability to work with teams and limit waste in meetings, processes, and discussions
- An excellent meeting conductor – focus on meeting purpose, objective, and execution is paramount
- Comfortable working in ambiguity to determine what subsequent activities bring us towards our goals

- Strong understanding of architecture system design
- Maintain a well-informed tether to the industry DevOps reports (DORA, Puppet)
- Certification in lean agile disciplines

This position is responsible for following all Security policies and procedures in order to protect all PHI under Arcadia's custodianship as well as Arcadia Intellectual Properties. For any security-specific roles, the responsibilities would be further defined by the hiring manager.
