Toast continues to grow its partner ecosystem, and the Technical Project Manager role will be a critical part of the growth of this team. This position plays a central role in the partnership onboarding process, with responsibility for program and project management across multiple Toast products and services. With accountability for ensuring integrations and partnerships are released successfully, this role requires someone with a combination of strong skills in program & project management, technical investigation, consensus building, communication, and the ability to coordinate resources from a variety of supporting teams. This position works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Support.

About this roll* (Responsibilities):

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for partner developers building integrations to the Toast platform, or optimizing their existing Toast integrations
  • Work with partner engineers and product teams to test integration submissions and provide developers with detailed feedback on bugs, compliance issues and how to align with development best practices
  • Work with our partner product marketing and customer success teams to move integration projects through the pipeline to launch
  • Create and evolve the resources (tools, documentation, processes) necessary to ensure a delightful developer experience  
  • Synthesize partner and customer feedback on Toast’s APIs and products, and present recommendations to the appropriate product management teams

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Highly analytical and can quickly identify the root cause of issues by digging through API call logs in Splunk, source code, or making Looker and SQL queries
  • Comfortable with many of the concepts and technologies used by Toast partner and customers building integrations, such as RESTful APIs
  • Familiar with at least one programming language with engineering experience
  • Skilled at prioritizing and organizing multiple streams of work and can independently manage complex technical projects within a dynamic environment 
  • Strong communicator and enjoy cross-functional collaboration 
  • Motivated by customer and partner delight 

Preferred

  • Understanding of the hospitality space and the evolving market dynamics
  • Knowledge of JIRA and working experience with Agile/SCRUM teams
  • Familiarity with Github and standard code release processes
  • A minimum of 2 years applicable experience in a partner or customer-facing role, such as Technical Support or Developer Relations
  • BS/BA or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
