Technical Project Manager
In this position, you will work across teams supporting both external and internal delivery, including Software Reliability Engineering (SRE), Data Integration & Quality, Product, etc. – with primary responsibility focused on innovation and delivery of cutting-edge, disruptive technology. The ideal candidate would be passionate about solving complex problems and working with teams to the successful delivery of software while helping the organization to further improve a high-paced software development life cycle.
What success looks like
In 3 months
- Strong understanding of the Arcadia platform and value-based care concepts
- Assigned and successfully project managing multiple projects: Managing
- Established credibility with key stakeholders from a technology, collaboration and value of PM disciplines and practices
In 6 months
- Successful delivery of multiple projects
- Active contribution to go-forward methodology and roadmap for release planning and delivery
- Recognized by key stakeholders as committed, disciplined, self-motivated and self-organizing
- Completed preliminary assessment of current use of Jira and documented recommendations for next steps
In 12 months
- Successfully completed transition to new operating model and new/enhanced tooling
- Sought after expert on delivery process & project management/agile principles
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner across key stakeholders to understand product/project vision
- Facilitate an agreed upon vision and document the outcome between product and engineering
- Work with key stakeholders to refine vague requirements
- Document, monitor and report out on team and project health
- Work with multiple technology teams to identify dependencies, establish dates, communicate status and identify potential blockers
What You'll Have
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- At least 4 years of related work experience
- Demonstrated experience working in multiple delivery models: “scrumfall”, iterative, Agile environments as well as experience with release management practices
- Expert ability to persuade and manage teams
- Commitment to documentation and record keeping
- Capability of making the technical understandable -- ability to process complex challenges and formulate abstract, user-friendly descriptions of such
- Ability to work in and around rapidly fluctuating requirements
- Exceptional communication skills
- Expert with multiple Jira modules, defect tracking technologies such as Jira, Trac, Rational ClearCase, or Bugzilla
- Prior hands-on software development experience
