Payfactors is looking for a Software Delivery Owner to join our Engineering team, who will work closely with the product management team and our software development leadership to drive delivery of new features in the platform. The right individual for this role is organized, technical, and detail oriented. They are able to guide cross-functional teams and execute on product vision.

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the product owner for one or more Agile development teams helping to lead day-to-day activities including daily stand ups, grooming, and sizing

Decomposition of large complex Epics into smaller iterable User Stories and work-items for incremental delivery of value 

Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog for multiple sprints 

Successfully deliver product features within established timelines while continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders and engineering team

Work with stakeholders and engineering team to set and manage delivery expectations

Collaborate with the Scrum Masters, Architects, and Product Management ensuring timely delivery of quality software 

 

Requirements/Skills:

1-3 years of experience managing the delivery of technology/software products, preferable in the SaaS or B2B model 

History of quickly learning and gaining expertise in technology product domains 

Manage consistency of delivery via sprint planning based on team velocity 

Manage deliver expectations of stakeholders and engineering team 

Ability to understand complex engineering concepts

Collaborate with engineering team in the delineation of work scope, timing, size, and effort

Excellent understanding of Agile software development in a SaaS model 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

BS degree preferred 

Boston-area based - No sponsorship or relocation available at this time 

 

Nice To Have:

Experience with Software Development in C# or other Object Oriented languages 

Experience with tracking team deliverables via JIRA 

Experience with Pendo is a plus 

Experience in HR/Compensation domain
