We are looking to hire a Senior SCRUM Master to be a hands-on servant leader for our growing engineering and product teams. Reporting directly to our head of engineering, you will be working with multiple distributed scrum teams, supporting several web and mobile app projects.

You will...

  • Drive ConnectRN’s Agile implementation by coaching and mentoring multiple, distributed scrum teams resulting in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. 
  • Work with various stakeholders to focus the teams' effort, address risks/areas of concerns, provide feedback, and support the health of the team as a whole.
  • Establish and own a data-driven approach to team success. Develop and maintain a metrics-reporting strategy that gives the organization a view into the overall health and performance of various teams -- velocity, burndown rate, carry-over points, scope creep etc.
  • Effectively observe and communicate impediments to the stakeholders and help clear those impediments for the teams.
  • Proactively escalate issues of concern or risk related to deliverables. Work with stakeholders and the teams to address or mitigate such issues.
  • Work with engineers and POs on a daily basis to align teams with the product vision and sprint goals.
  • Work with multiple teams in a Scrum Master role and facilitate all agile ceremonies -- grooming, planning, sprint review, standups, retros, and demos.
  • Assist teams with making appropriate commitments through Epics, Features and Story selection and task definition.
  • Help facilitate timely delivery of groomed user stories, business requirements, designs, wireframes, and other required artifacts needed for the overall success of a project.
  • Help manage Product release cycles through all stages. Work with Product Owners to ensure that the team's backlog is well groomed and actionable as well as help identify and clarify priority of work.
  • Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with the teams to continuously improve.
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts, self-organization, and team-ownership.
  • Facilitate training the teams through holding classrooms, workshops, or 1:1 sessions, using various Agile training materials as needed.
  • Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instill the same in the teams you coach.

You have…

  • Certified Scrum Master and/or 5+ years experience in Agile Software Project Management and Coaching.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • Extensive experience implementing tried and tested Agile methodologies among a group of fast growing Engineering and Product teams.
  • Thorough understanding of the mechanics, application, and pros and cons of various flavors of scaled agile implementations such as Safe, Less, Disciplined Agile Delivery etc.
  • Deep experience with scaling the Agile process from a few small teams to several large teams.
  • A proven track record of implementing measurable results through continuous improvement.
  • Deep experience with coaching engineers, engineering managers, POs, as well as scrum masters.
  • Strong ability to influence and coach the teams and improve their understanding and implementation of Agile.
  • Solid understanding of JIRA and JIRA workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels in the organization.
  • Ability and desire to exemplify and promote Agile values and principles outside of the core Engineering and Product teams.
  • Ability to relay complex information in simple terms to people at varying levels of experience and in various domains.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
