The Photo Producer works cross functionally with our stakeholders to help with execution of photography assets through Wayfair’s internal photo studios, external vendor studios and location photography. This person reports into the Production Manager and will touch all aspects of photography production; forecasting, planning shoot schedules and logistics, estimates (RFPs), budget management, purchase orders, sample requests and management, location scouting, sourcing: photographers, stylists, crew and movers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and timelines, independently and with a team. Can prioritize and communicate with clarity and speed.
  • Develop and refine processes as it relates to photography production.
  • Follow and guide the life cycle of photography production from kick off to image placement.
  • Professionally represent Wayfair when working with external partner studios and vendors.
  • Research, scout and secure locations for photo shoots, including permits as necessary.
  • Successfully negotiate internally and externally for all aspects of photography production.

Scope, create and manage budgets for shoots. Help Production Manager with forecasting and planning.

  • Delegate effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to track and manage hundreds of samples per project using excel or internal/external software.  
  • Must have a driver’s license and be willing to travel at times to manage shoots that are produced by the Production Team and to our internal and vendor photo studios.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Expert Excel skills – experience using a Digital Asset Management tools a plus
  • 3-6 years’ professional experience in a high volume photo studio, creative agency or production company
  • Previous experience working in photo/video shoot production is required
