Superpedestrian is seeking an NPI Project Manager to organize and drive multiple new projects through to launch. The NPI Project Manager works in the Supply Chain group in support of NPI and Supply Chain development needs. As new products are developed, the NPI team needs to work with suppliers to understand their capabilities, pricing and lead times for small quantity, prototype parts. Given the volume of NPI activity, an NPI Project Manager is needed to assist both the NPI and Supply Chain teams manage supplier activity related to new products.


Location:

Greater Boston Area - 10-20% work in the office in Cambridge 


What you’ll do:

-Work closely with the NPI, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to understand NPI project scope, supply base and timelines.

-Develop project schedule factoring in time for design, quoting, supplier manufacturing, build event, and all resources required as part of our stage gate process.

-Work closely with our team located in China to help maintain a link between NPI work being done in the factory and NPI work being done in HQ.

-Help to build out production plans based on the stage gate process 

-Manage cost down road map project plans Create cost roll ups and continuously update target reductions from procurement team

-Create and manage tracking spreadsheets for various assemblies

-Run internal team project meetings covering status of parts in design, on order or undergoing revision change for all products in build 

-Ensure proper plans are in place for logistics, build event, and shipment


What we're looking for:

-Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience 

-BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent

-Experience with bringing a product from initial concept to volume manufacturing 

-Excellent project management experience

-Experience collaborating cross-functionally, ability to get things done in a fast-paced, exciting environment

-Experience working with suppliers is preferable but not required

-Experience working with engineering teams is preferable. The ideal candidate will have some interaction with technical products and a range of materials.

-Ability to work within a schedule driven environment. Timing and a sense of urgency is a critical function of this role

-Outstanding communication and analytical skills

-Experience working with shifting priorities and moving deadlines

-MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
