Manager, Commercial Productivity and Training

Responsibilities: 

Effectively meet the training needs of the organization so that Indigo is seen as one of the best learning based organizations to employees and growers:

  • Create a high retention of subject content by commercial functions as measured by quarterly training consumption results, commercial targets’ attainment, lead conversion and NPS score
  • Indigo’s commercial organization is seen internally and externally as agile, quick to adapt and highly capable as measured by internal organizational surveys and qualitative grower feedback
  • Indigo is able to hire employees without an agriculture background successfully due to strong training as measured by relative churn and quota achievement between those with and those without ag backgrounds

Assist with developing and scaling Commercial learning strategy over time to meet needs of organization

  • Assist with building a compelling long-term version for Commercial training and collaborate closely with the L&D team to align with overall company learning strategy
  • Is considered a thought partner to commercial functional leaders in coming up with creative ways of articulating and scaling critical product, process and technology information to their teams in real time
  • Drive fast adoption of communicated information without undermining focus on commercial targets
  • Develop a quarterly training plan structure based on functional leaders’ requirements that includes new employee onboarding and ongoing training paths by function that map out and calendarize all necessary trainings, dates, times and consumption deadlines and provide insight into upcoming trainings 2 quarters out
  • In partnership with functional leaders, co-develop and inspect LMS training modules for each crop and business model before they launch and manage revision process after launch
  • In partnership with functional leaders, co-develop and inspect training modules that articulate best practices around critical commercial processes and productivity tools that facilitate those processes
  • Based on functional user requirements, facilitate actionable collateral creation with SMEs and commercial content development team to accelerate sales and post sales motions
  • other commercial training and communication delivery channels and tools such as content portal, training webinars and collaboration app updates

 

Ensure 100% of commercial team is certified on latest product launches and other modules by consuming assigned training laid out in training plan

  • Certify that 100% of commercial team has been trained prior to each new crop or business model launch and consumed other mandatory trainings assigned to them
  • Produce regular training participation reports and collaborate with functional leaders on closing consumption gaps

  • Can design or re-design, articulate, drive adoption and maintenance of efficient processes based on input from variety of stakeholders that are impacted
  • Possesses excellent program management skills; able to manage multiple workstreams, program deliverables timelines and measure results against baseline

Content delivery:

  • Strong and engaging presentation skills
  • Comfort and experience facilitating and presenting in front of large audiences

Qualities:

  • Understands and is passionate about the strategic role that technology enabled productivity and learning play at Indigo
  • Can quickly apply intelligence around Indigo business and agriculture (agriculture knowledge/experience is not required but is a plus)
  • Models good leadership skills
  • Highly adaptable

  

Qualifications: 

  • At least 5 years experience as a strategy or business process management consultant focused on sales or post sales performance management or an equivalent business operations experience.
  • Experience with implementing and/ or adoption management of productivity tools such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with delivering training to client facing audiences.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% and on short notice.
  • Highly comfortable with technology, able to integrate technology fluidly to train a distributed workforce.
  • Proximity to Boston or Memphis are a plus, but can be a remote candidate.

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
