We help restaurants streamline operations, increase revenue, and deliver amazing guest experiences through our platform that combines restaurant point of sale, guest-facing technology, and award-winning customer support. As a Toaster, you will be challenged to take on meaningful projects that will help shape the future of the company. Join us as we empower the restaurant community to delight guests, do what they love, and thrive.

Toast’s engineering organization has been growing rapidly: just look at the number of open postings on our job site! Ramping new hires efficiently is critically important to maintaining the ability of engineering to deliver impact quickly. This is made harder as our growing team is able to evolve our code and infrastructure faster and faster. To address this, our goal is to invest significantly in supporting and enabling our team through continued training programs and initiatives.

We want to find an Enablement Coordinator who can provide administrative and program level support for our engineering productivity, training and certification programs.

Are you technically minded but also love meeting and working with people? Do you love to learn and want to help others learn and grow? In this role, you will work with the engineering team on things including:

  • Onboarding Support: Working with leadership and engineers to schedule, manage and coordinate agenda and program details including but not limited to catering, team outings, asset preparation, recordings, and final assessments.
  • Content Development Support: Working cross-functionally with team members to support the content development process in Litmos (Toast’s LMS system).
  • Product Training Support: Work across Toast teams (e.g., Toast’s Sales Enablement team, customer-facing training team, internal Engineering documentation team) to help expose engineers to the best training about the Toast product we have.
  • Content Management: Update and maintain resources about Engineering technical content (using Confluence and Google Docs).
  • Ongoing Learning and Development: Assess areas where additional learning can be beneficial to engineers; recommend systems/approaches to improve uptake in usage of training materials.

  • Impact Assessment: Creating surveys, learning assessments and analyzing engineering productivity data to understand the impact of training programs.

  • Special Projects: Ad-hoc project work as needed, as we grow our engineering enablement program, e.g. asset development (e.g. playbook editing/vendor management), training videos, surveys, etc.

Do you have the right ingredients?

  • Enjoy interacting with new people, whether new hires or existing employees, across the company, in a welcoming and inclusive way
  • Have good attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customer constituencies
  • Have some experience with learning management systems or content management systems
  • Bring a technical background: comfortable with light data analysis, basic software development concepts.
  • Naturally intellectually curious
  • Comfortable with helping shape a new role at Toast
