Division Coordinator / Project Coordinator I
Charles River Analytics has a new, exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our growing Human Effectiveness (HE) Division Operations (DivOps). This highly visible position provides critical administrative, operational, and project-level support across Government- and industry-sponsored Research & Development projects across HE.
The successful candidate will work closely with other divisions on contractual, financial, and other corporate-level tasks. The candidate will report to the Vice President, and work with the DivOps team to support Senior Scientists and Software Engineers within the division.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Supports the divisional Vice President to implement corporate initiatives
- Provides support to talented scientists and engineers to meet project goals and deadlines
- Helps schedule and run meetings, captures meeting notes, manages action items, and follows up with employees
- Proofreads technical papers and proposals
- Uses project management software to maintain the quality of business processes; supports projection and budgeting processes; monitors project schedules and deliverables for adherence to contractual obligations and corporate policies
- Gracefully navigates an evolving set of operational tasks
- Helps develop and support new and more efficient processes within the division
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 1 or many year’s work experience or equivalent
- Solid computer knowledge and expert ability with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (skills in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Salesforce are also a plus); demonstrated experience in quickly learning and using new software
- Exceptional interpersonal/customer service skills, diplomacy, and tact. Positive “can-do” attitude during times of pressure and stress. Willingness to take on new projects and learn new skills as needed. Ability to anticipate needs and ensure follow-through
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with shifting deadlines. Candidates must be highly detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and demonstrate discretion with sensitive and highly confidential information
- Proven verbal and written English communication skills, with excellent spelling and grammar; advanced editing and proofreading skills
- Strong consideration will be given to candidates experienced with project management, Government contracting, scientific research and publication, and/or technical writing
- Experience with grant or proposal writing is a plus
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position
