Join Toast’s Digital Ordering team as we build groundbreaking experiences that empower the restaurant community to delight their guests. Digital Ordering is a fast-emerging business unit at Toast encompassing several existing and new product lines serving millions of consumers, including Toast TakeOut, a rapidly growing mobile order ahead app that allows consumers to skip the line at their favorite local restaurants.
As the Commercial Lead for Digital Ordering, you will be responsible for driving business results across multiple emerging product lines. You will be stretched to lead cross-functional teams and scale businesses of many sizes. You will also be responsible for identifying and rapidly experimenting on new business opportunities. This is an extremely challenging role that will accelerate your career growth and learning in the tech industry and general management.
The Commercial Lead will report to the Head of Digital Ordering.
In this roll* you will:
- Own the strategic planning and cross-functional execution for Toast’s Online Ordering product with potential to expand scope to leadership of additional product lines
- Lead the cross-functional team for Online Ordering (R&D, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance) to drive quarterly and annual business results
- Spike the growth of Online Ordering by identifying and optimizing key business drivers
- Build deep relationships with key partners in the Digital Ordering ecosystem to increase the power of the Online Ordering product
- Drive discovery, evaluation, rapid experimentation, and scaling of new business opportunities in Digital Ordering
- Represent business line results and strategic planning with Toast’s senior leadership
Do you have the right ingredients?
- 5-10 years of experience across a blend of roles in strategy, analytics, finance, and operations
- Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team in a fast-changing business environment, particularly partnering with Product, Engineering, and Design
- Entrepreneurial mindset and/or direct experience as an entrepreneur
- Relentless desire to improve, challenge yourself, and hit ambitious goals
- Deep commitment to driving business results
- High comfort with ambiguity and leading through influence
