Description
The Clinical Project Coordinator provides oversight to various projects within the Clinical Business Development department and reports to the Senior Manager of Development Projects. This position is primarily operational in nature and serves as a liaison between the Clinical Business Development team and various stakeholders, both internal and external.
The Clinical Project Coordinator works closely with leadership on projects and strategic initiatives, providing support through in-depth project/task knowledge. The coordinator both owns action items and tasks, executes them in a timely fashion, and follows up with other stakeholders on tasks associated with these projects and initiatives. The successful coordinator ensures actions are complete and critical issues identified and escalated for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily operational support and project oversight to various projects housed within the Clinical Business Development department. These include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing data processing, including contributing to the overall strategy
- Manage data annotation requirements from the machine learning side
- Develop training and assessment materials for annotators
- Managing annotation operations for various projects
- Strategic initiatives, such as piloting new partnerships or business lines
- Communicate with internal & external stakeholders to collect project plan data including updates and ensure that projects are running as scheduled; communicate project status updates
- Assist in the identification, scheduling, and processing of project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
- Capture and report expenses per project
- Manage and tracks projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, senior leadership, vendors, and stakeholders in order to act as an effective liaison between all parties
- Learn and understand the motivations, needs, and road-blockers of various stakeholders involved in each project
- In addition to the above, this role is responsible for various administrative duties such as: scheduling meetings, coordinating conference calls, preparing meeting presentation materials, maintaining records of meeting minutes, and tracking key action items and decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Intellectually curious
- A college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
- Experience in the digital health environment is preferable
- Experience with annotation tools preferred
- Past experience within either the healthcare or start-up space
- Minimum of two years of experience in a professional office environment, with at least one year of project management/administration experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and or projects
- Ability to make independent, critical decisions that will impact project and department success
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills are required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and thorough follow-up skills
- High level of tact, integrity, and professionalism
- Minimal travel required (10%)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quantitative skills; i.e. harvest, model, analyze and visualize data
- Healthcare sector experience preferred
- Experience working within a high paced, fluid environment
- Experience reading clinical research manuscripts
- Experience with vendor management
- Experience with managing overseas teams is preferable
