About Flock
There are 17 million Americans who own rental property. Most don't want to be landlords anymore, but selling isn’t a good option. Why? You’d lose income and appreciation, trigger tax liabilities, kick out your tenants, have to fix up the house – the list goes on! Flock is here to help.
Flock’s mission is to provide every retiring landlord with the most cost-efficient and seamless exit. Our first product is a tech-enabled 721 Exchange for Single Family Rental landlords. Owners contribute properties into our professionally managed Fund, in exchange for passive equity ownership. It's a modern UPREIT model designed for sophisticated owners who want access to continued cashflows, liquidity, and diversification without triggering capital gains, disturbing tenants, or dealing with disposition friction. We’re now growing fast into the commercial and multifamily space and are looking for smart, entrepreneurial hustlers who want to help build something category-defining.
We recently raised our Series B, led by Renegade Partners, and are also backed by other top tier investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Primary Ventures, SUSA Ventures, 1Sharpe Ventures, and leaders from Invitation Homes and Opendoor.
About the Role
As a Project Manager at Flock Homes, you'll lead the proposal and execution of property turns and value-add renovations for our flagship Single-Family Rental Fund. You'll own projects from start to finish—coordinating internal teams and external partners, managing timelines and dependencies, and delivering high-quality work on time, within scope, and on budget.
This role demands strong organizational skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Project Ownership & Delivery: Lead initiatives end-to-end by defining scope, success metrics, timelines, and deliverables. Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports while proactively identifying and mitigating risks and dependencies. Deliver projects on schedule, aligned with business goals and operational excellence.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams (Property Management, Finance, Legal, Fund Operations) and external partners. Drive stakeholder alignment, clarify ownership and accountability, and maintain transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Resolve issues swiftly and escalate risks or trade-offs when necessary to keep momentum.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Identify, onboard, and manage external vendors and trade partners to meet project timelines, scope, and quality standards. Track vendor performance, deliver constructive feedback, and foster continuous improvement. Review and approve vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, timely updates to internal and external stakeholders on project status, milestones, challenges, and results.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Monitor key project metrics and outcomes; prepare regular reports for leadership. Capture lessons learned to refine workflows, tools, and processes. Help build scalable project management frameworks to support company growth.
About You
- 5+ years of professional experience in project management, program management, or operations, with proven success owning complex, cross-functional projects. Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or institutionally rigorous settings (e.g., real estate funds, proptech, fintech, or technology-enabled operations).
- Industry Fluent: Direct exposure to real estate, property management, asset management, or investment operations is preferred.
- Analytical: Tech-first, metrics-driven approach to data analysis and decision making. You have hands-on experience with platforms like AppFolio, Salesforce, and Google Suite (advanced level) and are quick to learn, configure, and optimize tools/systems.
- Sense of Urgency: Investor- and operator-focused, with a strong bias for action and continuous improvement.
- Ownership: Desire to grow your impact, balancing speed of delivery with judicious prioritization.
- Grit: A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple tight deadlines without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet, handle objections, and find creative solutions.
- Ethical: Conduct business with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Even if you don’t meet 100% of the qualifications, we recommend applying to the role!
The target annual salary for this role is $80-100k, plus equity and benefits (medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and unlimited PTO).
