About Us:

Proton.ai is revolutionizing wholesale distribution. Distributors sell nearly every physical good you come across. Key to the economy, they make up over 28% of GDP. But there’s a problem. Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of complicated SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. Proton cuts through this complexity with AI. We provide a solution that modernizes distributors' sales efforts. And in doing so, we help distributors better serve their customers.

Our company is in hyper-growth mode. We've had significant year-over-year revenue growth, and we just raised a $20M Series A backed by Felicis Ventures (investors in Twitch, Shopify, Opendoor, and many others) and Battery Ventures. Needless to say, it’s an exciting time to join the Proton.ai team.

The Role:

As part of the Proton Professional Services team, the Implementation Manager / Sr. Implementation Manager will act as the main point of contact post-sale, managing large-scale IT projects focused on strategic alignment and successful delivery. This includes overseeing project management tasks, from kickoff meetings and requirements gathering to design reviews and integration support. The Project Manager will collaborate with Customer Engineers to implement technical requirements and with the Customer Success Manager to ensure alignment with business goals.

We are looking to hire someone in the greater Boston area who is open to a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, Havard square). The target salary range for this role is $90,000- $140,000. Final offers will be based on your skills and previous experience.

What you'll do:
  • Serve as the main point of contact during the initial implementation and rollout of Proton.ai for our customers.
  • Utilize a hands-on approach to motivate the project team, remove obstacles, and drive progress, fostering a high-performance work environment that consistently delivers results.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align project initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure successful project delivery, cost-effectiveness, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, business unit leaders, and clients.
  • Regularly communicate project status, risks, and progress to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  • Host weekly project stakeholder meetings and drive initiatives to meet project goals
You'll be a great fit for this role if you have:
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities; you are a solutions-oriented individual.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Possess a strong drive and a proactive mindset, ensuring projects are delivered with excellence and within established timelines
  • Experience with task tracking or project management tools such as Asana or Jira
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects across multiple clients and stakeholders

Benefits
  • Competitive Salaries + Company Stock Options - we want to pay you well (and equitably!) and make you feel like an owner.
  • Flexible Schedule - we think high levels of autonomy, responsibility and working asynchronously foster an amazing workplace.
  • Unlimited PTO + 10 Company Paid Holidays
  • 401k with Employer Contribution (US only, for now!) - we know work isn’t forever, so we contribute up to 3% of your salary to help you prepare whether you directly contribute or not.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance - we cover one medical plan 100% in the USA and cover a premium plan 100% for international employees (for US- this includes a HSA!) and cover 50% for dependents on all our medical plan options.
  • Professional Growth Fund - access to a fund set up by the company to pursue professional growth opportunities.
  • 12 Weeks Fully Paid Parental Leave - that goes for primary and secondary caregivers; even if you’re adopting or fostering!
  • Biannual Company Paid Off-sites - time for us to be together, brainstorm, and make magic happen.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
