Job Summary
Responsible for the management of a large multi-site school training program and the direct hiring and supervision of training staff and support staff members. Serves as a key liaison with the school network, sponsors, PI, as well as all levels of study staff. The Project Manager will also coordinate, initiate, and maintain school relationships, in addition to oversight and coordination of all trainings. Responsibilities also include participation in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for projects, developing advertising strategies to support recruitment activities, oversee budget management, and manage subcontracts with associated institutions.
Qualifications
A full-time Project Manager position is available at the Center for School Behavioral Health (CSBH), Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The CSBH conducts clinical research, develops and implements effective school-based behavioral health programs, and informs policy to expand access to school-based behavioral health. We partner with hundreds of schools to develop and test interventions and have several ongoing research studies and programs being implemented. The project manager will interface between the CSBH and a network of over 400 schools in the area, to coordinate the activities of a research portfolio and ensure the timely and successful implementation of its training and research goals.
This job will require strong organizational skills as well as strong people skills to work effectively with lab members, vendors, and department administrative staff as needed to facilitate the program and research goals of the Center. Strong computer and organizational skills for maintaining large data sets would be beneficial, as well as knowledge of various project management tools.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the timely and successful completion of annual project milestones:
- Communicate milestones to the investigative teams responsible
- Facilitate communication between teams as needed to achieve milestones
- Monitor progress and propose actions to overcome obstacles
- Communicate progress and issues to the PI
- Manage data flow
- Interface with research and school-based staff across sites to ensure timely exchange of training and program data
- Perform regular reviews of remote and local databases to identify redundancies and improve organization
- Assist with data quality assurance
- Manage documentation and training materials for team members
- Work with team members to compile documentation for common data acquisition and analysis pipelines
- Ensure that documentation remains up to date
- Serve as a point person for interfacing with funders:
- Compile annual milestone reports
- Communicate with funder program staff regarding progress or changes to milestones
- Seek out additional funding opportunities, and work to diversify funding streams
- Organize in-person or hybrid meetings and events of the program team, e.g.:
- Regular meetings of internal team at CSBH
- Regular meetings with relevant teams across sites
- Coordinate training & outreach activities:
- Supervise training lead and training coordinators in planning all trainings
- Supervise and support training staff
- Coordinate and organize trainings with school staff/ interest parties
- Support training and project presentations
- Manage day-to-day operations of the study/training projects
- Support in preparation of grant proposals, manuscripts, and presentations
- Oversee all purchasing requests for equipment and supplies
- Assist with team supervision:
- Onboard new team members
- Supervise training staff and training coordinators
- Assist with performance reviews and corrective action for program and training staff
- Other duties as assigned
