Job SummaryThe successful Project Manager will support a long-term program and work on one of the largest infrastructure Programs on the East Coast, the Long-Term Control Plan and Potomac Interceptor Program for the firm’s key regional client, DC Water. The Project Manager will support inspection, assessment, and construction activities on large sewer infrastructure projects. This role involves hands-on field work, condition assessments, emergency response, and coordination with construction teams to ensure work aligns with client standards, protocols, and project objectives. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Program Manager as part of the TYLin team located in the DC Program field office at DC Water (Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant).Responsibilities & Qualifications- Oversee pipe condition assessments that utilize various field inspection methods and technologies.
- Assist in field walks and site evaluations to assess access needs, site conditions, and logistical considerations.
- Respond to field emergencies, supporting the triage and stabilization of situations in coordination with Client and Contractor Teams.
- Conduct as needed construction inspection duties to verify compliance with design documents, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and document field activities to ensure alignment with client goals, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support to project managers and engineers, including field data collection and reporting.
- Assist with pre-construction and post-construction evaluations, including punch lists and restoration inspections.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, client representatives, and internal team members to facilitate problem resolution in the field.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and support continuous improvement of field procedures.
- Regular meeting and presentation of project deliverables to clients.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $135,000 - $173,000 annually for this position and local market.
