We strive to exceed customer and company expectations every day and are looking for the right person to join our rapidly expanding team.

The Role

We are currently recruiting a Project Manager to join our PMO team. This individual must be a precise, detail-oriented, customer-focused project manager with strong communication and relationship building skills who is disciplined and loves challenges. You will help our customers reach new levels of automated and digital capabilities while managing a range of projects in a rolling portfolio across several customer accounts and industries.

As the Project Manager, you will be expected to lead collaborative cross-functional teams and must possess the leadership skills to effectively delegate, support, and drive project team members to achieve outcomes. You must provide credible leadership in all aspects of automation and automation-related projects and operational activities. You will be responsible for maintaining project budgets, schedules, resource plans, issue logs, risk management and risk mitigation plans, and overall project quality documentation.

How You’ll Be Successful

  • Facilitate solutions to tough problems that span cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills through your attention to detail and your systematic approach to managing complex projects.
  • Have good instincts, a strong curiosity, and the drive to solve complex business and technology problems.
  • Demonstrate team leadership skills and represent the company and project team well at all levels of an organization.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse audience of technical and nontechnical backgrounds.
  • Make visible to all your unwavering commitment to excellence, sense of purpose, and pride in a job well done; our projects are challenging, timelines are aggressive, and determination and a sense of ownership is at the core of being successful.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive all areas of project execution to successfully deliver highly complex and time-sensitive projects. Our projects generally include multiple technical deliverables being orchestrated in parallel.
  • Manage all delivery responsibilities such as customer relationship management, team management, high-level technical direction, commercial management (contracts/POs), and schedule/resourcing management.
  • Maintain detailed project budgets including planning and financial management of both lump sum and time & materials projects.
  • Coordinate resources and create resource plans for your projects including cost estimating by function and by individual contributor, onboarding/offboarding of team members, developing and delivering effective communications and reports, while carrying an Executive presence at all times.
  • Travel to customer sites and interact directly with your clients. Travel can be up to 25% within the Greater Boston area or can go stretches without any travel.
  • Create and deliver presentations to all levels of the organization.
  • Continuously improve the effectiveness of the PMO through creating and/or updating operational SOPs.
  • Manage projects via established PMI norms whether waterfall, or agile based.
  • Manage software/product development projects as required via agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Manage outcome-based service level agreements and contracts via mixed methodologies, if required.
  • Conduct pre-project responsibilities (e.g. sales support, proposal contribution and generation, planning, and estimating activities) as needed; these activities lead to well-defined deliverables with associated work plans that provide a solid starting point for all work.
  • Lead post-project activities (e.g., continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, project to site transition, training, mentoring, customer adoption services, outcome delivery).

What You’ll Bring

  • 8-10 years of experience including 5+ years as Project Manager or related experience.
  • Versatility and willingness to take on projects of varying scope and complexity.
  • Experience working on External and/or Client Facing projects.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
