Position Summary

Project Managers are responsible for managing a range of business and technology projects of moderate complexity. They support the delivery of solutions by coordinating project scope, timelines, and resources using both traditional and Agile methodologies. Project Managers work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, timely execution, and alignment with business goals.

This role will manage a variety of projects, including initiatives that span both business operations and technical implementations. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing projects independently and contributing to Agile practices in a collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Spend approximately 60% of time managing projects through various phases of software development (Discovery → Delivery), 20% gathering requirements for smaller-scale efforts, and 20% on reporting, metrics, and resource coordination.

  • Manage project delivery within defined scope, timeline, and budget.

  • Coordinate multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.

  • Identify and escalate risks and issues, and support mitigation planning.

  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and team members.

  • Follow established project management processes and maintain documentation.

  • Support project delivery from initiation through implementation and closure.

  • Track resource needs and assist with utilization planning.

  • Communicate budget and task status clearly across teams.

  • Align project deliverables with business objectives and report progress accordingly.

  • Coordinate final delivery activities including UAT, implementation, and sign-off.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to identify solutions.

  • Maintain project documentation and assets.

  • Work with product and business teams to define requirements and estimate effort.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • 3–5 years of experience as a project manager or in a similar role managing project scope, timelines, and delivery.

  • 1–2 years of experience working with Agile teams using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO), including participation in scrum ceremonies.

  • Familiarity with task planning, dependencies, and resource coordination.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

  • General knowledge of technology and business operations.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to support technology-driven solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Customer-service orientation and team collaboration mindset.

  • Experience in financial services or loan servicing is a plus.
