Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operational Excellence Project Manager to join our team in a contract capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing projects aimed at managing project vertical activities for a manufacturing transfer from an existing facility to a new facility. The candidate would also be focused on assisting the VP of Operations with improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage operational excellence projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and standardize processes.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Manage the projects related to a manufacturing transfer
- Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in an operational excellence or continuous improvement role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Pharma/Medical Device Manufacturing strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
