As an Associate Project Manager II in the Public Sector Receivables Operations, you will support the team in tackling operational challenges and addressing strategic issues vital to the business. Your role will involve collaboration with Operations business owners and the Product team to monitor key deliverables. Your projects will focus on enhancing operational efficiency, evaluating and planning operations capacity, utilizing data to pinpoint performance and process improvement opportunities, and supporting other significant business initiatives. Your projects are typically team-based and require interaction and collaboration with leaders and employees across the division.
Job responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing operational initiatives from conception to completion, supporting the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring alignment with key organizational goals.


  • Support the adoption and implementation of best practices across project teams to enhance efficiency and collaboration.


  • Understand and represent business requirements for client and operations business owners.


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Product, and Technology to support project successes and timely deliveries.


  • Generate regular project status reports, executive summaries, meeting minutes, and action items.


  • Perform impact analyses for business initiatives to determine key business groups that will be required to undergo operational process changes.


  • Document end-to-end process flows, including client interactions and operations changes, and motivate progress on tasks and actions through regular status meetings with business partners.


  • Monitor and report project progress to leadership and escalate deliverable delays and document "path to Green status."


  • Conduct walkthroughs and product overview/process change sessions to update stakeholders and user groups and foster a culture of inclusion, focused on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.


  • Manage role support for US Federal government contracts that require U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent status


Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Experience in project management or structured coordination.


  • Ability to motivate end-to-end process reviews and process re-engineering and able to learn the operational aspects of Receivables Operations quickly.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present in a clear and action-oriented manner.


  • Ability to create executive presentations, project status scorecards for management, stakeholders, and team members.


  • Experience working with cross-functional teams from Operations, Product, and Technology with the ability to influence others and motivate desired outcomes.


  • Able to multitask and prioritize, with strong organization and problem-solving skills, and able to develop metrics designed to measure project/program successes.


  • Proficiency with the Microsoft product suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio, Word).


  • Ability to work flexible hours, including non-traditional and additional hours as needed to meet business demands.


Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or Equivalent Project/Organization experience.


  • Knowledge of Remittance Processing, Receivable Products or Lockbox process.
