About the role:
As a Project Manager, your primary responsibility would be to oversee end-to-end project delivery from initiation to closure while ensuring that the projects meet the outlined scope, timeline, and budget.
You will be a key communicator having excellent written and verbal skills, effectively setting and managing customer expectations, providing clear guidance, and maintaining consistent communication to deliver a seamless experience throughout the project lifecycle. Co-ordinate customer meetings and proactively highlight value driven portfolio benefits.
Your organizational skills will be crucial as you manage, and update project information ensuring the stakeholders and purchased services are being fully leveraged.
You will be collaborating with Customer Success Managers to initiate and drive project execution.
Your judgment in involving the right stakeholders at the right time will be critical for project success.
You will leverage tools like Smartsheet to track progress, manage risks, and ensure transparency with stakeholders. Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
Ensure timely and accurate project updates in Salesforce on a weekly basis.
You will be expected to have the ability to take initiative and lead with influence toward positive outcomes, manage and resolve conflict.
Manage change and expectations to maintain progress toward successful and timely work or project completion. Use appropriate tools and metrics to track key data and deliverables.
Continuously monitor, manage, and proactively mitigate risk and issues. Adapt or adjust mitigation strategies as new information is obtained. Effectively manage escalations and related communication.
Roadmap for success
30 days:
In your first 30 days, you will immerse yourself in understanding SailPoint's offerings, organizational structure and team dynamics. You will have regular check-ins with your mentor, who will help you navigate the tools, processes and ongoing projects which are critical to your role. Familiarize yourself with project management tools and best practices used within the organization.
Shadow ongoing projects, observing the dynamics of execution and decision-making.
90 days:
Take full ownership of customer projects, serving as the single source of truth for all stakeholders. Drive high-impact discussions with customers, setting expectations and aligning deliverables. Fine-tune processes, bringing fresh, strategic insights to optimize workflows.
6 months:
At the 6-month mark, you should have developed a keen sense of scope management, ensuring clear boundaries between must-haves and nice-to-haves. Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensuring a smooth, well-supported deployment. Should be able to handle escalation and provide resolution as per client expectation. Be able to point out areas of improvement in our current processes, propose ideas, collaborate with different team members on internal & external projects. You will serve as the primary point of contact for information requests related to your assigned projects.
1 year:
By the end of your first year, you will have completed few projects and taken them live. Should be able to mentor new resources and grow the team capability while successfully managing own projects and escalations. Build a rapport with the partners for seamless collaboration. You will have the knowledge to create and maintain various knowledge bases to support Program development on an ad-hoc basis.
Requirements:
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, with a focus on customer or partner-facing roles.
Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to engage and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and resolving conflicts to maintain project momentum
Experience working with third-party vendors and contractors, managing relationships, and ensuring alignment with project goals
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to resolve scheduling and other conflicts to meet all deadlines
Highly self-driven and motivated with a strong work ethic & initiative
Ability to work effectively in diverse teams, with an awareness of different cultural nuances and communication styles
Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
Ability to understand client needs, manage expectations, and deliver solutions that align with business objectives
Experience in Salesforce, Jira and Smartsheet is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred:
Exposure to Customer Success Delivery and Operations in both large and small companies
Experience with Identity Management, Security or Governance would be a bonus
Experience in SaaS & Information Security a plus, especially in Vendor or Partner roles
Must be fluent in German, and additional languages such as French, Italian or Spanish would be an additional bonus.
Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies is preferred.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus, or Certified associate in project management (CAPM)
