Position Summary
The Project Manager, Compliance plays a critical role within Guild Mortgage's Compliance function. Reporting directly to the SVP, Chief Compliance Officer, this role is responsible for driving structured delivery of high-priority regulatory and compliance initiatives spanning origination, servicing, and corporate departments. The Project Manager ensures complex, multi-workstream compliance programs including regulatory change implementation, examination and audit readiness, and issue remediation are organized, tracked, and executed with rigor. The role translates regulatory obligations and strategic direction into actionable plans, manages stakeholder alignment, and maintains program momentum across all phases of delivery.
Compensation
This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $70,000 to $100,000 annually.
Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
Essential Functions
- Project Management Functions
- Own end-to-end project management for assigned compliance initiatives or compliance portions of larger initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and status dashboards across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Translate requirements and direction into structured project charters, scope definitions, milestone frameworks, and control-level implementation tasks.
- Proactively identify value, risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate blockers with recommended resolution paths and clear articulation of deadline impact.
- Drive cross-functional coordination effectively across the compliance department and various compliance managers to drive alignment and accountability on deliverables. Coordinate with other departments as needed for cross-departmental alignment as needed.
- Develop and execute change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training coordination, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
- Maintain project momentum by tracking open decisions and action items, holding stakeholders accountable for commitments, and escalating unresolved issues when appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery through automation, workflow optimization, and responsible use of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.
- Compliance Support Functions
- Coordinate governance forums supporting the Compliance Department, including leadership meetings, strategic initiative reviews, and executive reporting as requested by the Chief Compliance Officer. Provide agenda, maintain schedule, project plans, issue tracker, and other deliverables as needed.
- Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in developing and managing the Compliance Department strategic business roadmap, annual objectives, and multi-year initiatives.
- Maintain project health dashboards and consolidated reporting across the compliance project portfolio; surface insights on milestone attainment, regulatory due date adherence as needed, issue aging, budget tracking, and resource utilization.
- Partner with Compliance leadership to translate new regulatory requirements into implementation roadmaps, coordinating cross-functional activities through successful execution.
- Develop, maintain, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) by collecting data from business units, validating information for accuracy, and preparing executive-level reports and presentation materials for leadership meetings.
- Prepare executive presentation decks and other project communications by synthesizing KPI data, project updates, risks, and key decisions into clear, concise materials for senior leadership and governance committees.
- Maintain the Compliance SharePoint site and other compliance communication resources, ensuring information is current, organized, accessible, and aligned with department standards.
- Maintain the Compliance Manual by coordinating content updates, collecting input from subject matter experts, obtaining required reviews and approvals from Compliance leadership, and ensuring timely publication of approved changes.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication and documentation to ensure compliance policies, procedures, and project artifacts remain accurate, current, and readily available to stakeholders.
- Author project documentation including pre- and post-implementation communications, adoption playbooks, training coordination, and hand-off plans transitioning initiatives to long-term control owners.
- Conduct lessons learned retrospectives; produce recommendations reports to capture institutional knowledge and improve future delivery.
- Apply version control and records retention standards to compliance program documentation consistent with company policy.
- Provide other administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required.
- Minimum three years' experience.
- PMP or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.

Requirements
Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Audio/Visual: Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment – moderate noise, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
Travel: 5 - 10%
Mental: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
Schedules: Work is primarily performed during the business week, Monday - Friday.
