Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Project Engineer for our Rochester, NY office. This position will work alongside the Senior Structural Engineer/Buildings Structural Lead to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, technical specifications, and reports. The Buildings Sector provides both architectural design and structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation.Responsibilities & QualificationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects
Support Studio Leaders in managing staff and financials
Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with structural coursework.
Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification is required.
Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
5-10 years of experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design is required.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and structural engineering design software (RISA, ETABs, SAP, and/or similar) is required.
High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
Demonstrated experience collaborating in a diverse and inclusive team, working towards technical excellence.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $65,000-$85,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
