Job Title:  Programmer Analyst

Location: Boston MA OR Waltham MA Office – Hybrid 6x a month (Hiring Locally Only)

How You Will Make an Impact 

The Engineering Services team is a technical consulting and engineering group who design, configure, integrate, and extend capabilities across front, middle, and back-office financial technology platforms. This role combines elements of Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, and Software Engineering, with a significant focus on custom application development using C#, SQL and AI powered tools.

The primary responsibility of this role is to partner with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, develop and deploy technical solutions, and support implementation efforts across a variety of financial systems and workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, business requirements, and technical solutions
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements across front-, middle-, and back-office functions
  • Translate business requirements into platform configurations, process improvements, integrations, and custom software solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software components, workflows, and automation solutions using C#, SQL and other programming languages
  • Collaborate with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and test plans
  • Support implementation, deployment, and post-production activities in client environments
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and technologies to enhance analysis, documentation, software development, testing, and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, delivery best practices, and platform innovation

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred
  • 1–3+ years of professional experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Enterprise Software, or Technology Consulting
  • Proficiency in SQL and C#, Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language
  • Experience working within Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and collaborating with software development teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating technical documentation, workflow designs, and solution specifications
  • Experience with enterprise platform configuration, systems integration, APIs, or workflow automation
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development, analytics, documentation, or productivity tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-enabled testing and automation platforms)
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams
  • Knowledge of financial services, capital markets, trading operations, investment management, or post-trade processing is a plus
  • Experience supporting client-facing projects or technical consulting engagements is a plus

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 90000 USD to 100000 USD.
