The Program Manager at Viral Nation is a senior leader within the Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for driving strategic oversight across a portfolio of high-value marketing campaign programs.  The Program Manager carries accountability for overseeing multiple high-value workstreams, portfolios, and client accounts with significant growth potential or annual revenue exceeding $10M. This includes strategic marketing campaigns, creative and operational process adherence including the intake process through to post-campaign postmortem and analytics. The Program Manager ensures operational excellence, financial health, and long-term client success by orchestrating cross-functional delivery teams, optimizing resources, and aligning program execution with organizational goals. 

What You'll Do Here:

Program & Portfolio Leadership

  • Provide governance and oversight on multiple concurrent programs, each with budgets of $1M+ and portfolios of $10M+.
  • Establish frameworks for program planning, execution, and measurement that can scale across portfolios.
  • Translate client and business objectives into actionable program strategies, ensuring clear alignment across workstreams.
    Drive prioritization across competing initiatives, balancing revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience in managing programs that include Influencer Marketing (traditional, creator based, ambassador, affiliate, seeding, UGC, vetting at scale, etc.), Performance Marketing, Content Studio (development, productions, streaming etc.), Community Management, Business Intelligence, Measurement and Experiential.
  • Remain close with senior leadership, account teams, and clients to provide visibility, governance, and future-focused recommendations that enable Viral Nation to scale.

Client Partnership & Growth Enablement

  • Partner with Account Team Senior Leads to shape resourcing models and optimize staffing.
  • Ensure delivery excellence while proactively identifying growth opportunities, upsell potential, and long-term client retention strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and act as the escalation point for complex issues.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Oversee the financial health of programs, including forecasting, utilization, budget variance, and profitability tracking.
  • Create and maintain dashboards for executives, providing transparent reporting on program status, risks, and KPIs.
  • Establish governance structures for risk management, dependency mapping, and issue escalation.
  • Implement best-in-class program management methodologies (Agile at scale, hybrid models, PMO frameworks).
  • Relevant experience with managing programs in an IAT environment.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate portfolio performance and inform future investment decisions.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to forecast resource demand and pipeline impacts.
  • Lead strategic planning workshops with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps that deliver measurable client impact.
  • Mentor and guide Sr. Project Managers, Project Managers, and Jr. Project Managers, fostering career growth within the PMO hierarchy.
  • Standardize processes, templates, and playbooks to ensure consistency in delivery across programs.

You'll Need To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA or PMP certification an asset).
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in project/program management, preferably in marketing, advertising, or agency environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing programs or portfolios exceeding $10M in revenue.
  • Expertise in program management methodologies (Agile at scale, portfolio frameworks) and enterprise tools (Jira, Monday.com, Kantata, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Strong financial acumen: forecasting, budgeting, and revenue management across large portfolios.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to engage C-suite stakeholders and distill complex updates into actionable insights.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, optimize processes, and recommend scalable improvements.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments.
