Job Description Summary:

The Strategic Systems Program office is seeking an Integration & Test Program Manager for the Navy SSP Trident II D5LE2 program. This program develops, tests, and delivers the world’s most accurate and reliable guidance, navigation & control (GN&C) systems to enable credible, survivable, and resilient port-to-target solutions to drive mission success. The program manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the program plans, schedules and budget for the Systems Integration & Test area, as well as monitoring program performance and execution to those plans, including identifying and addressing risks and issues as needed.
The Program Manager 2 is responsible for program capture, development, planning and execution. The Program Manager responsibilities' include leading program execution of full lifecycle projects; identifying, capturing, and growing new business; managing customer engagement; and leading transition of Draper’s innovative technologies into solutions for government or commercial sponsors. Manages and ensures the timely completion of specific, defined multi discipline programs or projects of greater than average complexity and scope.

Duties/Responsibilities

Develop personal credibility with sponsor organizations and program staff, with a clear ability to organize, motivate, and lead teams in business capture and execution activities.

• Responsible for managing complex programs that may involve managing fixed price contract with high dollar volume or contract length.

• Oversees program budget and schedules.
• Responsible for program growth.
• Responsible for marketing new technology or follow-up on business acquisition.
• May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
• Responsible for program execution including interfacing with customers
• Coordinating successful execution of programs with internal stakeholders.
• Ensures contractual deliverables are completed on schedule and within the approved budget.  
• Support Program Directors, Business Area Leads, and Senior Program Managers in the development of internal products and provide recommendations for research and development.     
• Develop technical program management best practices and provide training/mentoring to project teams
• Monitors dependencies across multiple inter-related technical projects to adhere to methodologies, budgets, and timing
• Gather and report consolidated technical project status and financial information to leadership
• Recommends changes to improve processes and alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication.
Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge and proven track record of successful business interaction.
• Ability to be persuasive and a strong relationship builder.
• Possess excellent communications, presentation and networking skills. 
• Ability to travel on an as needed basis.  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Deep expertise in leading program execution of full lifecycle projects; identifying, capturing, and growing new business; and managing customer engagement.

Experience growing business in the areas of R&D technology development, and/or integration of new technology into existing, fielded systems.

Excellent written and verbal communications, presentations skills, organizational and time management skills. Must be able to clearly and concisely present complicated information and relationships to executive leadership, peers, staff, customers, and stakeholders.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent discipline required.
Experience
• 5-7 years program related experience in functional or program management.
• Experience in program related area with functional or program management.

Additional Job Description:

  • Developing, implementing, and executing a strategy for the Integration & Test program area within Strategic Systems focused on the design and development of the D5LE2 guidance system.
  • Leading the development of the overall Systems Integration and Test approaches for the D5LE2 Guidance Program including Virtual System Simulation (VSSIM), Hardware in the Loop (HWIL), System Level Integration, Test, Evaluation and V&V and development of the infrastructure required to support.
  • Interfacing directly with US Navy customer, external program stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to support program alignment and execution.
  • Previous experience with modeling and simulation, integration and test, HWIL on complex programs is highly desired.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is

$100,000.00 - $250,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
