The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Team Freedom Senior Coordinator.
The Team Freedom Program Manager leads the development of operations & procedures for the pro athlete team, while also managing an associate/developing portfolio of athlete families. This position provides excellent intra- and cross-team support by giving strong attention to detail, being solutions oriented, and working with confidential and time-sensitive information in a fast-paced professional environment, while also representing IJM in 1:1 pro athlete family engagement and development.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Head of Team Freedom, North America and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities
Communications:
Create and PM sending of the Team Freedom monthly newsletter to Athlete Portfolio.
Write and create visual reports for athlete audiences (Year End Report, Athlete Council pre and post reads etc.).
Write and draft follow up emails/communications for Team Freedom Directors to send to new athlete partners following events (PAO, small events, etc.).
Events and Logistics:
Create and lead the processes for executing on all operational logistics across all regional partnerships.
Manage the distribution of print and event materials via shipping to ensure projects are well executed.
Travel occasionally to manage and support IJMs presence at key conferences, sponsorships and international influencer trips.
As assigned, lead onsite execution for events and trips to the field (ex. Phillies, Pittsburg, Ghana).
Manage expense reports and SF notes and data collection from all relationship touchpoints for Team Freedom Directors/leaders.
Portfolio Development:
Excellent management of a developmental/associate portfolio of pro athlete partnerships and their families representing up to 500K overall revenue and platform engagement reach via events, social media, media, campaigns
Serve as trusted, high level team freedom internal agency representative in person and digital meetings, events and conferences across the larger team-wide portfolio of athlete partnerships, working in partnership with the Team Freedom Director(s) and Head of Team Freedom
Serve pro athlete families with the upmost care and excellence serving at every touchpoint and managing their overall athlete engagement plan (IEP) in the mission
Manage and deliver new platform and resource opportunities across designated portfolio partnerships
Documentation, Reporting & Data Management:
Track and report on Team Freedom Program Budget.
Build project budgets as assigned to projects.
Ensure the partnership website is up-to-date and relevant for our greatest partnership and opportunities.
Develop new ways for the team to report, thank and engage key partners.
Lead on the execution of thanking, engaging and celebrating key partners.
Monitor, track and report on IJM led and sponsored events, conferences and tours.
Support partnership directors in the creation of briefs, reports and necessary details to ensure meetings are well executed.
Manage all contracts and invoices ensuring that partnerships remain within contract and that we serve our partners well.
Stay up to date on IJM policies and procedures as it relates to legal, finance and project management to best advice and execute projects through the Team Freedom program.
Train and share recommendations of Salesforce best practices.
Create Salesforce reports and upload activities for Team Freedom Directors as it relates to their portfolios.
Track athlete and influencer giving in Salesforce and ensure all gifts are tagged and correctly reported.
Ensure all cultivated gifts are inputted quarterly and updated.
Create and pull giving reports for athlete and influencers; Manage Team Freedom Salesforce Dashboard.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of project, program or operation management required
3-5 years of marketing experience in influencer/pro athlete management space preferred
3 years portfolio/relationship management experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field (communication, marketing, etc)
Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Technical Competencies:
Demonstrated understanding of teamwork project management platform
Familiarity of CRM systems
Understanding of all platforms (digital, web, print, event, etc) utilized for marketing
Strong written and oral communication skills
Non-Technical Competencies:
Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed
Self-starter with strong initiative
Disciplined with priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness
Willingness to take on new challenges
Flexible, collaborative and eager to support others
