As a Program Manager at WHOOP, you will be a critical member of the team that develops the algorithms that power the features we provide to our members. This role sits at the intersection of data science, sensor intelligence, machine learning operations, software, and product, and is responsible for translating research and development work into clear plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure delivery timelines are met.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their program management career who is excited about data and algorithms and wants to grow their technical and cross-functional skills in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner closely with algorithm engineers and data scientists to facilitate project kickoffs and retrospectives, define milestones, timelines, and dependencies to keep algorithm development moving forward
  • Maintain an updated program roadmap for Core Algorithms
  • Support the execution of core algorithm development projects, including research experiments, model iterations, and validation work
  • Manages the maintenance of clear project documentation and status updates
  • Help identify risks and blockers, and escalate tradeoffs with proposed solutions
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication across WHOOP for awareness and understanding
  • Partner with the broader RAD program management team to continuously improve the development process to enable execution of projects in an organized, methodical, and predictable manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in program management, project management, process operations, or a related role
  • Experience working on technical projects, ideally involving algorithms, data, or software systems
  • Experience organizing projects using Jira or similar platforms 
  • Comfort working with technical teams and learning new concepts quickly
  • Clear, confident written and oral communicator 
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse teams
  • Background in consumer technology, platforms, or data-driven products is a plus

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company’s long-term growth and success.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$175,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. 

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
 
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
