Job Summary & Responsibilities

Build how ModusLink actually uses AI

AI only matters if people use it — and if it makes work meaningfully better. We’re looking for a Program Manager to build and run ModusLink’s enterprise AI enablement and adoption program from the ground up.

This is a high ownership role for someone who enjoys turning ambiguity into momentum and ideas into real productivity.

  1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager, AI Enablement & Adoption is responsible for building and operating ModusLink’s enterprise AI capability from the ground up, with an initial focus on adoption, productivity impact, and responsible use of AI tools across the business.

This is a hands-on builder role. The Program Manager will operate ahead of fully formed governance, tooling, and staffing, creating clarity through execution and proving value through rapid delivery. As adoption scales, this role will evolve to lead a small team (2–3) of technical AI practitioners.

  1. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Own the enterprise AI enablement and adoption program end to end
  • Identify and prioritize high value AI use cases
  • Run enablement programs to drive adoption (live trainings, onboarding sessions, office hours, internal community channels).
  • Support prompt engineering: help users translate business questions into effective prompts, refine outputs, and develop reusable prompt patterns.
  • Curate and publish a library of use cases, prompt examples, and “how-to” guides; connect power users to showcase real examples.
  • Facilitate adoption events (e.g., prompt-a-thons) across time zones, including planning, facilitation, and follow-up communications.
  • Consult with teams to evaluate use cases and recommend the simplest effective approach—prioritizing out-of-the-box capabilities over custom development.
  • Advice on tool limitations (e.g., numeric/analytical scenarios) and when lightweight scripting (e.g., Python) is required versus when the request should be re-scoped.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, track, and report adoption metrics (usage, activation, active users) and business impact.
  • Collect user feedback, surface blockers, and propose practical solutions; maintain an open, collaborative communication style.
  • Coordinate with IT/Security/Compliance (as applicable) to ensure AI use follows approved governance and responsible-use guidance.

III. NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering and digital workplace technologies.
  • Proven experience in enablement, change management, training, customer success, solutions consulting, or internal evangelism roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot) and common enterprise use cases, with the ability to define and monitor adoption and impact metrics
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and coach users to better outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working across functions and seniority levels

Key Competencies

  • Evangelism mindset: inspires adoption through practical value, storytelling, and clear examples.
  • Coaching and facilitation: helps users learn by doing; adapts to different skill levels.
  • Pragmatism: works within tool constraints; avoids unnecessary engineering and complexity.
  • Bias for action: tests, iterates, and shares learnings quickly.
  • Collaboration and trust: open communication, receptive to feedback, and proactive about surfacing risks/blockers.

  1. WORKING CONDITIONS
  • General climate-controlled office environment or home based.
  • Prolonged sitting and repetitive motion due to extended computer use.
  • Stress related to conflicting priorities and meeting schedule deadlines.
  • Some international travel may be required.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
