Millennium-Space Systems is looking for a Program Management Specialist who can serve as the Program Manager for an existing program, lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams in the coordination, development, and delivery of a ground segment. This includes final integration and delivery through end-to-end integration of hardware and software design, test, verification and validation.
This position requires exceptional program management skills in order to successfully interact with program management level counterparts across the program, including the customer program office, subcontractors, user groups, and government oversight contractors.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Leads development of the program architecture and top-level plans for highly complex programs.
  • Identifies key program level horizontal and vertical integration interfaces between major activities, teams, suppliers, partners and customers
  • Leads the resolution of program issues
  • Uncovers and resolves issues associated with the development and implementation of operational programs
  • Analyzes program metrics
  • Recommends program recovery acceleration plans, changes and corrective actions
  • Leads the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices
  • Conducts Independent Reviews
  • Develops and implements customer and program communication and contact plans
  • Provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems
  • Develop and implement plans to communicate status, performance, issues, and actions
  • Drive rapid resolution of issues
  • Drive performance improvement through the application of lean principles and program management best practices
  • Coordinate program staffing needs with senior leadership

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
  • This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Bachelor degree and 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 5+ years of engineering or technical leadership experience
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with C-Suite executives to establish overarching mission operations strategy

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-portfolio mission operations architecture, optimizing total workforce
  • Experience evaluating orbital assets and team effectiveness and communicating status to executive customers
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical oversight during nominal operations and anomaly investigations
  • Experience in a Lead Engineer/Technical role responsible for ensuring system and product integration across multiple disciplines
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience delivering and/or maintaining an active flight system
  • Experience developing and managing strong relationships with partners and customers (internal & external)

Summary Pay Range:
Level 6: $154,000 - $275,000
Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
