The Community You Will Join: 

In Community and Commercial Policy (CCP), our mission is to create and evolve principled policies that define the rules of the road for Guests and Hosts across Airbnb. This involves solving some of the most complex challenges of our time. Our work is informed by rigorous research and stakeholder collaboration, and we design policies that can support our community at scale. We team with our cross-functional partners to create accessible policy enforcement guides and to continuously maintain and improve our policies.

The Difference You Will Make:

As the program lead for Policy Operations and Programs within the Community and Commercial Policy team, you will work across Policy and with Ops stakeholders to continuously improve and refine our policy implementation program and drive Community and Commercial Policy initiatives across the company. This work will drive the enforcement of the policies accurately and efficiently. This role will serve as a key player in developing our global policy solutions and enforcement system and will have a direct impact on the peace of mind of millions of Airbnb community members around the world.

A Typical Day: 

  • Lead translation of policies into clear agent articles and enforcement guidance, overseeing end-to-end implementation that ensures fidelity of the policy – anchored in Airbnb’s principles and ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the development of Airbnb’s scalable enforcement guidance by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Operations, Trust, Legal, and Communications.
  • Act as a critical bridge in policy development and implementation, proactively anticipating changes and influencing the direction of emerging policy areas.
  • Analyze enforcement, product, market, and other relevant data to refine policy and enforcement guidance, while proactively identifying risk areas and emerging integrity challenges.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deeply analyze complex issues and identify actionable decisions that can be scaled across manual and automated moderation systems. 
  • Serve as a strategic resource to the policy team, helping to shape systems, processes, decision frameworks, and quality standards.

Your Expertise:

  • 8+ years experience in operations, implementation, product management or other relevant role, with a focus on policy issues and collaboration with global operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability for strategic and critical thinking, demonstrating  strong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the big picture and the value of both perspectives. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly in navigating uncharted territory and new concepts.
  • A proven track record of effective leadership with the ability to independently manage a portfolio of complex issues.
  • Fluency in data analysis and leading data-driven decision-making
  • Working experience with the product development lifecycle within technology, regulations, and/or industry landscape.

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range

$154,000$191,500 USD
