We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in energy efficiency and/or renewable energy to help expand the team in our Energy Efficiency Program Department. The Energy Efficiency Associate will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions for major North American utilities by supporting the identification, analysis, and delivery of energy-saving and decarbonization opportunities across commercial, industrial, multifamily, and public sector facilities. As a member of the Energy Efficiency department, you will work closely with trade ally managers, engineers, project managers, utility program teams, and market actors to accelerate the adoption of high efficiency, energy saving, and clean heating equipment.

 

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contractors, distributors and manufacturers to navigate utility incentive programs & software to participate in the program, explain eligibility, documentation requirements, timelines, and next steps.
  • Assist with trade ally enablement: recruit, onboard, and support supply chain stakeholders; contribute to trainings, webinars, and tip sheets that clarify program requirements and best practices.
  • Support and analysis of market sales data to identify most impactful opportunities and strategies.
  • Improve analysis of market actor sales data through equipment identification, categorization, and model matching.
  • Identify qualifying sales from market actor sales data and gradually improve process through documentation and coordination with Information Systems and internal team to automate the process as much as possible.
  • Coordinate with program claim processors on completeness and compliance of applications; serve as the liaison between the market claims and our claim processing procedures to ensure adherence to program rules and codes while maximizing market participation.
  • Monitor market participation and coordinate data flows from internal multiple software; identify, document, troubleshoot issues with the software or process that result in streamlined and increased incentive claims.
  • Collaborate with market actors, utility clients and internal teams to identify barriers, recommend process improvements, and enhance participant experience and program outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an energy-related discipline with environmental, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred; or math or physics background
  • Minimum 2yrs experience or a Master degree in lieu of experience.
  • Competency with technical and scientific topics/analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Seeking well qualified candidates located in the New York or Boston metros, but open to other locations


Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of  $60k - $70k/Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
