About this role:

Pickle Robot is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our team of technicians assembling our truck-unloading robots. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, coordinating and coaching a small team. Your focus will be on ensuring high-quality builds by working closely with engineering and commercial teams to meet a high bar of quality for our customers. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the manufacturing floor, coordinating technician workloads and priorities to meet production targets.
  • Act as a technical point of escalation for assembly, mechanical, electrical, or troubleshooting challenges.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the build process; review work against BOMs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes and documentation to improve throughput, safety, and reliability.
  • Lead stand-ups, design reviews, and root cause analyses for production issues.
  • Partner with engineering on new product introductions, tooling requirements, and design for manufacturability.
  • Train and mentor technicians on fabrication techniques, tool usage, and safe work practices.
  • Promote a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment
  • Support hiring and onboarding of new technicians as the team grows.
  • Assemble complex robots as part of our Truck Unload manufacturing process.
  • Be willing to contribute to functional specs and participate in design reviews.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical assembly, 
  • 2+ years in a lead or supervisory position on a manufacturing team.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with leading workplace software, such as Google Suite, Jira, Slack, ERP System. Experience with On-Shape a plus!
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience assigning and coordinating tasks for manufacturing teams to achieve production goals.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage changing and multiple priorities.
  • Able to interface with Engineering as required to troubleshoot inaccuracies or other design challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot process and build issues, working with engineering to drive resolution.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of maintaining clean, safe, and efficient workspaces.
  • Strong communicator—able to coordinate across teams, set priorities, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Able to split focus between desk-based work and hands-on time on the manufacturing floor, which requires physical activity and long periods of standing.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs as part of regular duties.
  • Willing and able to work from our Charlestown, MA warehouse each day.
