Job Purpose

The Production Control Planner supports the development and execution of a reliable, data-driven production plan that supports forecasting, equipment productivity, and on-time delivery. This role ensures that planned end-to-end production matches actual execution by aligning closely with cross-functional partners, tracking progress through real-time dashboards, and proactively resolving risks. By integrating planning systems with shop floor operations and external vendors, the Planner helps achieve zero-defect execution and uninterrupted production flow. They also support standardizing workflows, build planning tools, and drive process improvements that scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop production documentation, ensuring end-to-end alignment between planned and actual execution while optimizing productivity.
  • Create tools and dashboards to track progress to plan, surface execution risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership.
  • Ensure execution by working cross-functionally to validate production readiness, resource alignment, and schedule accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Procurement, Quality, and Production to prevent delays, expediate critical orders, and improve throughput.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, including external vendor progress, internal build schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Support standardized planning processes through clear documentation, training materials, and workflow design to support repeatable, scalable operations.
  • Support cross-functional planning cadence, including syncs with key departments, delivery forecast updates, and leadership reporting.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, or operations within a machine assembly or high-mix manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with production, supply, or demand planning, including use of ERP systems (Epicor experience strongly preferred)
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies, forecast demand, resolve constraints, and drive improvements
  • Strong hands-on experience with planning tools and dashboards (Excel/Google Sheets required; Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to support on process improvement initiatives and create scalable documentation or SOPs
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering with Procurement, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment where initiative, ownership, and adaptability are essential.
