Product Developer - Shark
The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. We are the “product CEOs,” partnering cross-functionally with almost every other team within the business to drive high consumer satisfaction and business results. Responsibilities:
- Support Product Development Manager with management of product line from brainstorm phase all the way through to mass production
- Define and develop product requirements, taking into consideration consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, new product technologies, and competitive landscape. These product requirements include user-centric design targets – KPIs and CSIs (Key Performance Indicators and Consumer Satisfaction Indicators) – for product performance and user experience
- Design and lead research studies to provide rapid feedback on critical decisions during the development process, ensuring the end-user is at the center of every decision
- Translate user-centered research into design requirements and optimizations
- Manage conversations between global teams, including those in China, Japan, and UK
- Manage cost, configurations, product set up materials, and packaging design
- Manage creation and execution of go-to-market collateral to support product launch
- Manage creation of FAQ’s, Troubleshooting Scripts for online resources and call center agents
- Be the product “expert” and point person for all cross functional questions or concerns
- Facilitate comprehensive product risk analysis through tools like DFMEA, QFD, or other
- Provide appropriately detailed communication summaries and presentations for management as required (at least weekly)
- Collaborate with the highly engaged and passionate cross-functional team, including Industrial Design, Engineering, Commercial Marketing, Consumer Insights, Quality Engineering, and Protocol Innovation, challenging one another to build extraordinary products
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or Management Concentrations
- 2+ years of experience in product development/marketing preferably in consumer goods
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high impact environment with shifting priorities
- Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized
- Resourceful, highly dependable, efficient, detail oriented, and able to embrace challenge
- Ability to be a team player and work independently
- Ability to travel
