I'm Abby Jacobs, and I lead product success for our NIL Operations products at Teamworks, including Teamworks GM. As revenue sharing becomes a permanent fixture in college athletics, programs need more than software — they need a partner who understands the operational complexity of managing athlete compensation, compliance, and NIL at the institutional level. That's what our team provides.

We're hiring a Product Success Manager to own a portfolio of GM customers and grow into a full NIL Operations resource over time. Phase one is GM: implementations, territory management, and becoming the go-to expert for rev share operations. Phase two is Teamworks Influencer: NIL content and compliance workflows. We're not looking for someone who wants to manage one product. We're looking for someone who wants to own a category.

The Role
  • Own a portfolio of GM customers across a conference territory, serving as their primary contact from implementation through renewal — partnering with ADs, compliance officers, CFOs, and NIL staff across the full lifecycle of athlete compensation

  • Lead implementations by driving onboarding for new accounts: kickoff calls, configuration, stakeholder training, and measurable milestones within a defined timeline

  • Drive ongoing adoption and value, proactively identifying opportunities to deepen product usage and improve customer outcomes

  • Partner with the product team by bringing customer voice into roadmap conversations and managing expectations around feature timing

  • Expand into Teamworks Influencer over time, taking on NIL content and compliance workflows to become a complete NIL Operations resource for your accounts

What I'm Looking ForWhat You Must Bring
  • Campus experience in NIL or revenue share — AD office, compliance, NIL director, player relations. You understand how these operations work from the inside. Non-negotiable.

  • Working knowledge of football or basketball operations and/or the transfer portal — working knowledge of team operations and/or the transfer portal for teams participating in Revenue Share - Football or Basketball preferred. While Teamworks GM services all sports, the transfer portal windows for these sports in particular bring unique challenges as the primary budget-driven sports in GM; you need to speak credibly with the people running them

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly across audiences — from student-athletes to CFOs to compliance officers

  • Solid understanding of the NIL landscape — current regulations, compliance frameworks, and how the rules are evolving

  • Resilience under pressure — you're comfortable operating in a high-stakes environment where deadlines are tight, emotions run high, and customers need someone steady in their corner. You don't rattle easily, and you know how to turn a tense moment into a trust-building one.

Even Better If
  • Base-level financial literacy or experience helping student-athletes navigate tax forms, payments, or budgeting

  • Experience managing accounts across multiple product lines or platforms

  • Hands-on experience with Teamworks GM, Influencer, and/or Wallet

Why This Role

The NIL space is moving fast and Teamworks is building the infrastructure programs rely on to run it. This is a chance to help define what NIL Ops looks like as a category — not just execute a playbook, but shape how we show up for schools navigating one of the most consequential shifts in college athletics. If you want to own something that matters and has room to grow, this is it.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
