Job Description

We’re looking for a systems-minded operator to help us build smarter, faster.

As a Product Strategy and Operations Consultant, you’ll drive cross-functional alignment, streamline decision-making, and improve how we deliver solutions across hardware, software, and services. You’ll close the loop between our product teams and the field, making sure our innovations are grounded in real customer needs—and ready to scale globally.

This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, sees patterns in complexity, and wants to improve how great products are built and launched.

What You’ll Do

  • Optimize Product Operations: Streamline how product teams work—across discovery, planning, delivery, and launch. Define and refine core processes.

  • Systematize Customer Feedback: Build feedback loops across sales, partners, and users. Turn insights into clear, actionable guidance for roadmaps.

  • Build for Focus: Design tools, dashboards, and reporting that help product leaders prioritize high-impact work and track progress.

  • Drive GTM Readiness: Own the operational mechanics of launch—orderability, localization, territorial approvals, and sales readiness.

  • Establish KPIs: Define and track key product operations metrics. Elevate visibility into team performance and delivery health.

  • Coordinate Cross-Functionally: Ensure alignment across product, engineering, GTM, legal, support, and services.

  • Support Strategic Partnerships: Help activate key internal and external tech partnerships to unlock growth.

  • Lead Early Access Programs: Oversee beta programs, feature flags, and experimentation strategies to derisk launches and accelerate learning.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in product operations, product management, or business operations in a tech environment

  • Experience with complex product ecosystems—ideally across hardware, software, and services

  • Strong communicator who drives clarity across teams and stakeholders

  • Fluent in metrics, dashboards, and process design

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure

  • Field-aware: able to connect strategic priorities with sales, services, and customer success needs

  • Comfortable in ambiguity; skilled at creating structure where none exists

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $134,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
