About Reunion Marketing

Reunion Marketing is a fast-growing, data-driven digital marketing agency empowering clients to win through strategy, innovation, and relentless execution. We blend strong relationships with measurable performance—and our Client Success Strategists are critical to making that happen.

About this Role

We are looking for a Product Owner who brings clarity, structure, and discipline to the product development process. This role is focused on execution — turning product direction into clear, buildable work so development teams can move fast with confidence and quality.

This is a backlog-first role. You will organize priorities, refine requirements, and remove ambiguity so engineers can do their best work. Over time, strong performers in this role can grow into a Product Manager position.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and maintain a clean, prioritized, sprint-ready backlog

  • Write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria

  • Enforce Definition of Ready and Definition of Done

  • Break large initiatives into manageable, testable work

  • Lead backlog refinement and support sprint planning

  • Clarify requirements in real time for engineers, QA, and UX

  • Protect sprint scope and minimize churn

  • Reduce rework by ensuring clarity before development begins

  • Validate that features meet requirements before acceptance

  • Translate stakeholder requests into actionable backlog items

  • Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and constraints clearly

  • Escalate ambiguity or conflicts when needed

Who Thrives in This Role

You are a good fit if you:

  • Prefer structure, consistency, and clear processes

  • Take pride in organized, well-maintained backlogs

  • Stay calm under sprint pressure

  • Communicate clearly and reduce ambiguity naturally

  • Think logically about value, effort, risk, and sequencing

  • Work well with engineers without micromanaging them

  • Enjoy turning messy ideas into clean, executable plans

What You Bring
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery

  • Experience managing backlogs and writing user stories

  • Comfort working in SaaS or software environments

  • Basic understanding of UX, QA, and technical dependencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work iteratively and stay disciplined over time

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
