The PositionWe are seeking a Product Owner to help evolve our software products through iterative stages of discovery, definition, development, launch, and post-release enhancement. The PO is responsible for driving the delivery of high-value capabilities for assigned products.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders across business, legal/compliance, and operations to ensure that requirements and product design meet the needs of customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities- Own, prioritize, and maintain the development team’s product backlog, including defining epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute product roadmaps and release plans
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned products
- Review, accept, and prioritize feedback and new requirements from stakeholders
- Bring new perspectives to continually improve the product and better serve our customers
- Analyze data to inform product decisions and refine product strategy and roadmap
- Balance business needs with technical considerations and constraints
- Oversee creation and maintenance of user and technical documentation
- Support customer-facing teams and help develop training and communication materials
- Produce content that enables others to understand product functionality and changes
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of product or project development experience
- Experience driving projects involving customer-facing web technologies, including APIs, mobile-first design, and third-party integrations
- Experience collaborating across teams such as Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences
- Strong understanding of internet technologies and web-based software development
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, and Confluence
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Familiarity with SQL and data analysis
- Experience working on applications involving search, e-commerce, and/or large-scale data aggregation
- Experience with taxonomy design and/or data modeling
- Experience with web development technologies such as Git, AWS, Ruby on Rails, and React
- Background in UI/UX with the ability to create wireframes and mockups
