As a Product Owner at Kapitus, you will be responsible for driving the success of our 3rd party sales partners by ensuring their  partner portal experience is world class, seamless and user friendly.  You will act as the “CEO” of your product by working with partners, developers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that we fully-understand market needs, are staying true to our core mission, and building the most valuable features possible. You are responsible for growth and risk - accountable for achieving business objectives and financial metrics, communicating to all levels of the organization, and crafting an agile roadmap to guide the product to market. You will be part of a small, persistent team and have endless opportunities to lead initiatives, expand your technical expertise, and deliver products that make a real difference.


What you’ll do:

 

  • Craft a vision and strategy based on input from customers, stakeholders, and the development team that can be clearly communicated to all levels of the organization.
  • Develop feedback loops with internal stakeholders and external customers to validate and solicit ideas and utilize data to drive decisions.
  • Work daily with development and analytics teams to clarify the vision, requirements, and priorities.
  • Collaborate with sales and 3rd party partners to properly position products in the marketplace.
  • Continuously adapt the plan by adjusting scope and priorities to deliver the most valuable solutions possible.
  • Balance the value of deliverables with their associated cost and risk.
  • Own the product backlog, objectively balancing directions from multiple stakeholders.
  • Define user stories that are ready for the development team.
  • Analyze competitor landscapes and market trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner with a track record of delivering measurable business value.
  • Specific and demonstrable experience working with sales teams and externally facing digital properties. Strong instinct for user experience.
  • Commitment to creating lean, purposeful documentation and driving thoughtful discussions around user-centered backlog prioritization best practices.
  • Required expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Deep experience managing Agile backlogs and partnering closely with engineering teams, UX, Customer Research and other Product Owners.
  • Strong understanding of sales systems. Familiarity with lending products and , underwriting workflows a plus.
  • Experience working with API-based integrations and distributed systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and use insights to inform prioritization and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage complexity, and create clarity in ambiguous environments.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with third-party channel partners and building partner portals strongly preferred.
  • CSPO, PSPO, or similar Agile certification preferred.
  • Internally motivated Product Owner who applies Scrum and Design Thinking principles to drive effective product discovery and delivery.
  • Ability to frame work through user stories and apply a goal-oriented mindset, including the use of OKRs, to support continuous improvement.
  • Comfort thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with an experimental mindset for testing ideas and validating assumptions through data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both executive leadership and end users, serving as a strong liaison across stakeholders, developers, and customers.
  • Strong collaboration skills, deep user empathy, and a consistent focus on delivering solutions that create meaningful value for end users.

Kapitus Total Rewards Package Includes: 

  • Competitive Base Salary Range of $96,300 – $154,400 Kapitus is providing this as a good faith salary range to comply with applicable law. The applicant’s final salary will depend on a number of factors including the applicant’s geographic location, skills, and experience.
